What is editing in film?

Editing in film is something usually done in post production and it purpose is to decide what things stay in a film and what gets cut. Editing can also enhance things like visuals and audio. Another purpose of editing in film determines when you get information on the film and how much information you will receive throughout the film. Editing can also enhance actors performances which can make the characters they portray more relatable or realistic. Without editing in film many films would not be as good as they are now.
